History has an all-new episode of MonsterQuest in store for us tomorrow night. History goes in search of the Sasquatch purported to live out west.
Ancient petroglyphs in the Sierra Nevada Mountains depict footprints left by frightening packs of hairy man-like beasts. Now, MonsterQuest heads to the heart of California where witnesses are encountering aggressively territorial packs of Sasquatch. The team will investigate groups of large footprints found here and analyze compelling new video which could be that of the beast.

History is bringing back MonsterQuest next month with three new episodes airing in January. We’ve got episode titles and descriptions for the three newly announced episodes.
4×01 – Jaws: The Silent Killer – Great white sharks are the ocean’s deadliest killers and as they swim closer to our beaches, attacks against humans are on the rise. MonsterQuest leads an expedition to tag the first great white in the Atlantic and divers attach a camera to a live great white shark to examine why these monsters are becoming more aggressive predators.
4×02 – Hillbilly Beast – Legends of a terrifying monster lurking in the back hills of Kentucky date back to the days of frontiersman Daniel Boone, but encounters with this mystery beast are increasing. Witnesses report alleged attacks by the creature and the sounds of ferocious screams from the wilderness. New photographic evidence may hold the key to uncovering the mystery. The MonsterQuest team goes on location to analyze the evidence, and heads deep into the dark forests, where they have their own frightening encounter.
4×03 – Giant Pythons in America – A deadly, slithering menace is taking over Florida and may be heading north. For more than 100 years, giant pythons have been discovered in parts of the Sunshine State, but since Hurricane Andrew in 1992, their territory has rapidly spread. Now, MonsterQuest searches for incursions in the outskirts of Miami, a population hotspot that is just moments from schools and homes. The team investigates whether pythons could hybridize and adapt, enabling them to threaten every state in the US.
Season four debuts January 13th on History at 9pm EST.

This coming week looks to be a fascinating week of programming for The History Channel. Halloween tends to bring out some great stuff, after all. MonsterQuest is returning with a special, two-hour episode about the Abominable Snowman on Sunday, October 25th.
The Abominable Snowman is among the most frightening and notorious monsters in history. This ferocious nocturnal creature is said to attack people and slaughter their animals. Witnesses report sightings of a strange, hair-covered beast and claim to have heard blood-curdling screams. Evidence amassed over the last century may point to a startling conclusion: that something real and unknown stalks the desolate mountains of the Far East. Scientists and experts will examine the clues while the MonsterQuest team will undertake their most dangerous expedition to date with an epic ascent onto the snowy peaks where recent evidence of the beast was found.
I recommend checking your local listings and see what else History has in store. They’ve got documentaries about vampires, werewolves, etc. It’ll be a great week of shows.
MonsterQuest’s Abominable Snowman episode airs on Sunday, October 25 at 09:00 PM, Monday, October 26 01:00 AM, Saturday, October 31 08:00 PM, and Sunday, November 01 12:00 AM. All times are Eastern Standard Time.

MonsterQuest’s third season is coming to a wrap, folks. It’s been a long, 24-episode season, bigger than the previous two. History has covered a wide number of creatures, from the standard Bigfoot fodder to unusual flying creatures and monster versions of ‘normal’ animals. It’s been a good run, but it’s over this Wednesday night when they look into the history of the famous whale named Moby Dick.
Here is the official description for this Wednesday night’s episode:
There have been stories for centuries about huge, aggressive albino sperm whales. They were immortalized by the classic novel “Moby Dick.” These stories told of whales targeting ships and ramming them with their huge heads. Could stories like this be true? MonsterQuest heads to the world’s oceans to investigate whether there is any truth to the theory that these white whales have become more aggressive.
Tune in to History on Wednesday, August 26th at 9pm EST to catch the season finale, “The Real Moby Dick“.

The third season of MonsterQuest continues tonight with an all-new episode entitled Tigers in the Suburbs.
Here’s a description for tonight’s episode: Large cats are prowling parts of America and they may have a taste for flesh. Witnesses in New York State say they are seeing big black cats that may be stalking and killing the deer population. However, from the big cat family, only jaguars and leopards appear black and neither species is native to the eastern United States. Is the mind, as skeptics suggest, simply playing tricks? Or could dangerous escaped exotic cats be on the loose? An all star MonsterQuest team of trackers, scientists and technicians deploys the latest in surveillance equipment in search of proof of whatever monster is out there–before it kills.
Please remember that MonsterQuest airs on Wednesday nights at 9pm EST on History Channel.

MonsterQuest has a brand new episode on tonight called “Killer Chimps in America.”
Here’s the official episode description:
Chimpanzees are known to us as amusing circus attractions and are even popular as pets, but when they attack the results are frightening and horrific. Just as disturbing, across the U.S., witness reports suggest that chimpanzees may be on the loose. In the 1920s and 30s, chimps were common in Florida as part of road side carnivals and zoos, but in some cases these animals were let loose or escaped. Today, not only are attacks from pet chimps on the rise, but witnesses in Florida describe encounters with what may be wild chimpanzees. Now, MonsterQuest trackers and primatologists investigate how vicious chimps can actually get, and whether the environment could sustain these primates by searching the swamps and wilderness for a population of wild chimps in America.
Please remember that MonsterQuest airs on Wednesday nights at 9pm EST on History Channel.

Although we don’t get any new MonsterQuest episodes this week, we do get a pair of good episodes tonight from the current season.
Critical Evidence at 8pm EST
Frightening encounters with the legendary monster known as Sasquatch are reported in almost every state of America. These run-ins with terrifying upright hairy beasts date back centuries and sightings number in the thousands. Despite the many Sasquatch reports, skeptics point to the lack of evidence as compelling reason for the creature being merely a myth. Now, however, new analysis of the best existing evidence could finally uncover proof of this elusive beast. A special investigation gathers together the critical evidence–from startling videos to tracks, prints and sighting maps. State of the art analysis may finally give definitive proof that Sasquatch is among us.
Mega Jaws at 9pm EST
Sharks have terrified people for centuries and deep within the forbidding waters of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula may lurk a mammoth sixty foot monster. Could it be a new giant species or some living relic, hidden in the sea? In prehistoric times, huge carnivorous sharks, more than twice the size of a great white, ruled the waves. Marine experts claim these giants went extinct, but evidence may challenge that. Meanwhile, frightened Mexican fisherman talk of being stalked by a “Black Demon”; and sailors report close collisions with a shark unlike anything that they have encountered before. In a search for answers, MonsterQuest uses a combined air and sea search for this monster shark that may be prowling the last unexplored frontier of our planet.
The two episodes begin re-airing at midnight EST, by the way. MonsterQuest returns next Wednesday with an all-new episode, so stay tuned.
